Exit Stage Right

[Aria Nyx]

"My bracer, you dork. The thing you blasted off my arm?" she says, standing up to widen her search. "Fuck, if it cracked open it might have gone anywhere!"

[Nick Varkan]

"Your ride home?" he guessed, "...shit."

He used his TK to feel around for anything bracer shaped.

[Narrator]

That certainly worked much better than looking for it. It still takes him a bit to find it though and when he does it's a significant distance away, much further than it could have reasonably have been tossed.

[Nick Varkan]

"I think I found it. Way over that way," he said, pointing.

[Aria Nyx]

Aria runs over to where he's pointing and after a couple seconds of frantic searching finds her bracer and picks it up. She carefully slips it over her arm again and there's a faint purple glow shining from it before she quickly closes some kind of lid on it that had gotten dislodged slightly. Letting out a huge sigh of relief she she grabs her wrist and clutches it to her chest.

"Phew! That could have gone real bad."

[Nick Varkan]

"So... that little thing is your time machine?" Nick asked as he approached.

[Aria Nyx]

"Sure. Size ain't everything." she lies.

[Nick Varkan]

"Wait... no... that doesn't explain your powers quitting on you. Little space-time princess needs a power booster doesn't she?" he smirked.

[Aria Nyx]

"Who says you've even seen what my mutation is?" she smirks, side-stepping the question.

[Nick Varkan]

"Ooh... gadget-cheating altogether then?" he teased.

[Aria Nyx]

"Sure, push of a button, flick of the wrist. Wanna give it a try and see how much accidental damage you can do?"

[Nick Varkan]

"I've done enough accidental superpower damage for one lifetime, but thanks."

[Aria Nyx]

"That wasn't an invitation, dude. I've seen you let loose with only your power and I believe they just rebuilt the Lighthouse."

[Nick Varkan]

"I get that strong huh? Awesome."

[Aria Nyx]

"Pretty sure you're already fairly strong but you probably don't quite got the technique."

[Nick Varkan]

"Guess I need to get back to my Danger Room regimen and remedy that."

[Aria Nyx]

"I can bust it up again if you feel lazy." she smirks.

[Nick Varkan]

"Nah, I'm good," he chuckled.

[Aria Nyx]

"Alright then. Just don't quit your night job."

[Nick Varkan]

"Damn..." he grumbled out of the blue.

[Aria Nyx]

"What's this now?"

[Nick Varkan]

"Actually starting to like you," he was pained to admit.

[Aria Nyx]

"Hah, sweet!" she grins. "Ooh, hey, could you give me an autograph at some point?"

[Nick Varkan]

"Doesn't telling me I'm autograph material in the future violate some protocol? Not that I didn't know that already," he responded cockily.

[Aria Nyx]

"Telling you something you already know violates fuck-all." she points out.

[Nick Varkan]

"Well you and I know that, but thanks for confirming another version of me being awesome," he smirked. "Yeah, I'll sign something for you."

[Aria Nyx]

"Wicked! And it'd only be against the rules if I tried to sell it for profit." she winks.
