Sept. 8th: One Does Not Simply Walk Onto Campus

"Cocktease," Riot says. She grabs one of the bags, "Yeah, if you would. I got legs now but they're not really all that strong."

[ASHLIE]

"I apologize. I did not mean to tease you." she says, grabbing the remaining bags.

[Alexandria McDougal]

"You never do," Riot says in a mock-wistful tone.

[ASHLIE]

"I shall aspire to do better, Miss Riot." she says almost demurely.

[Alexandria McDougal]

Riot shivers dramatically, "kk, now you're just doing that on purpose. C-cr-crafty bitch."

[ASHLIE]

"I have no idea what you are talking about."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Sure you don't," Riot says. "And I d-d-don't catfish gay men on OKCupid. LOL."

[ASHLIE]

"Good. That's not very nice." she says, not really knowing what she's talking about but assuming it's something questionable.

[Alexandria McDougal]

Riot snickers, "Y-y-you're such a sweetheart, Ash."

[ASHLIE]

"I do try. Being polite is important."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Ever played Fuck, Marry, Kill?" Riot asks suddenly.

[ASHLIE]

"I have not. It sounds like a difficult thought exercise."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"It is," Riot says. "One person n-n-ames three people. And you have to say who you would fuck, who you would marry, and who you would kill."

"Here, I'll go f-first. Name three people."

[ASHLIE]

"Three of your peers, I assume? Alex Carpenter, Brigid Plunder, Kay Haddock."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Fuck Alex, Marry Br-Brigid, Kill Kay," Riot says without hesitation. She's obviously thought about this. "Gabriel, Vasquez, Hino."

[ASHLIE]

"This is very difficult to deduce. I am lead to believe that Mister Gabriel is very attractive so I would fuck him, marry Mister Hino for his competence with electronics and kill Miss Vasquez because it seems like a complex task that would require more thought than a mere execution."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"G-g-good thinking," Riot says.

[ASHLIE]

"This is an interesting game. I like it."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Yeah?" Riot says, "What other games do you like?"

[ASHLIE]

"I play a couple online games. And occasionally I calculate optimal routes and layouts for simulations like Sim City. I was disappointed with the latest one though. It was so very stupid that it was frustrating."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Yeah, it was a fucking piece of lazyass bullshit," Riot agrees.

[ASHLIE]

"Civilization games are fun too, although it feels like playing with a group of toddlers."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"I fuckin' feel ya there, Ash," Riot says.

[ASHLIE]

"You don't enjoy 'owning noobs' without a challenge?"

[Alexandria McDougal]

"I enjoy humiliating fucking n00bs," Riot says, flexing her fingers. "Completely different pleasures."

[ASHLIE]

"How so?" she asks curiously.

[Alexandria McDougal]

"You play for a ch-ch-challenge to be the best. You're really playing yourself," Riot says. "If you're fucking' humiliating some shitbag n00b, you're doing it to m-m-make them feel bad. To get a reaction. Ya don't even have to play good. Ya just have to piss them off."

[ASHLIE]

"Do they deserve to be taught a lesson in humility?"

[Alexandria McDougal]

"D-d-doesn't everyone?"

[ASHLIE]

Ashlie seems to seriously consider that for a moment.

"No, I don't think so."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"I'm probably just a t-t-terrible person then," Riot says, giggling.

[ASHLIE]

"You don't seem too concerned about that."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"Yeah, IDGAF," Riot says with a shrug. "I'd rather have fun then be some shitlicking goody-two shoes.

[ASHLIE]

"Being good can be fun."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"How? N-n-nothing good is fun," Riot says.

[ASHLIE]

"I enjoyed making you feel better when you were in the med center."

[Alexandria McDougal]

Riot sulks, "It's n-no fair using logic like that."

[ASHLIE]

"I'm afraid I'm unable to stop using logic."

[Alexandria McDougal]

"It's okay. I forgive you," Riot teases.

[ASHLIE]

"Thank you." she smiles.

"See? That was nice."
