On My Own Four Feet

The first sign of the direction Theresa had gone after the cafeteria incident was the mangled remains of a laptop buried next to a tree. The second sign was shredded remains of clothing balled up and stuffed into a hollow in a tree even deeper into the woods. Theresa was loping along slowly, the fur under her eyes wet as sh walked through the woods away from the school. Her eyes glowed green in the shadows of the woods.

"Theresa?" Murphy calls out.

She turned around, the energy from her eyes making the wet fur under them glisten. "Love you. Hate this," she said, lifting one paw.
