Sept 22: Whittling the Time Away

"You think she's not?"

[Graham Jaeger]

"And they say I'm paranoid" he laughed.

"Seriously. Even if she could be reading everyone all day long, doesn't she have better things to do than explore filthy teenage brains? Like, I dunno, running a school?"

[Jennifer Newgate]

"I think if she is then she's a hypocrite and can bite me."

[Barbara Kirby]

"Part of running a school is keeping you idiots in line, you know."

[Jennifer Newgate]

"Ooh snap!" she giggles. "She called you an idiot, Graham."

[Barbara Kirby]

"Idiot-S! Idiot-S! Plural!"

[Graham Jaeger]

"Oh I forgot, you're the only sane person here. A sane person who believes this is an Orwellian murder factory."

[Jennifer Newgate]

"Only if you got the punchy-powers though." she points out, at least kinda sorta agreeing with Barbara on accident.

[Barbara Kirby]

"We're in the right country for it, at least. They love their surveillance here."

[Graham Jaeger]

"I'll admit that's a bit creepy."

[Jennifer Newgate]

"Gotta make sure everything's proper and all. Pip pip cheerio."

[Barbara Kirby]

"Yeah. You're always being watched."

[Graham Jaeger]

"And when you least expect it? Bam! You're replaced by a pot person."

"Err... pod person," he laughed.

"I heard that actually happened somewhere in South America."

[Barbara Kirby]

"What, someone smoked pot? News story of the year," Barbara said, idly poking at her phone.

[Jennifer Newgate]

"People got replaced with impostors. Some kinda plant freak thing. Totally happened, I read about it on the internet."

[Will Stanton]

"Hmm," Barbara said, unimpressed, running a google search.

[Graham Jaeger]

"Because we all know everyone's honest on the internet," he smirked.

[Jennifer Newgate]

"Why would someone make that up. It's the government that doesn't want stuff like that getting out because of the tourism." she nods sagely.
