Bonfire Without Vanities (Or Maybe Just a Few)

It had taken most of the day to put the structure together. The logs of the central bonfire were gathered and piled high. A distance out around the central bonfire was a circle smaller piles of wood, more suited to roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Coolers of drinks were moved out to the area and tables were set up with all the fixings one would need for it.

As people filtered to the area, nothing immediately appeared to be happened. Then Gemma, in dragon form, launched herself off the top of the lighthouse, soaring down towards the bonfire area. As she got in range, she breathed a gout of flame onto the central bonfire and the giant pile roared to life. A few people ran forward, lighting some sticks off the larger fire and used them to light the smaller fires, getting everything ready for people to start roasting their choice of sausage/hot dog/whatever. Gemma circled the area a couple of times, just to make sure everything was heading towards getting started before finding an open place to land.

[Kay Haddock]

Kay cheers at the dragon swooping in, only flinching a little bit when it starts the fire with a stream of bright flame.

[Miranda Weaver]

"That was... bright," Miranda said, standing next to Kay. "Cool, but really really bright."

[Daniel Uriel]

"Heh. Showoff. Good style, tough," Daniel said as he coaxed a ball of flame from the bonfire and sent it arcing over to one of the smaller ones.

[Kara Vanderbilt]

"Who's showing off now, huh?" Kara grins at Daniel as she walks over with a cup of punch in her hand.

[Daniel Uriel]

"Yeah, but everyone already knows I'm going to do that," he said, not at all abashed. "Least they did. Gotta remind them I guess."

[Kara Vanderbilt]

"Got a rep to keep up, huh? I'm Kara, by the way."

[Daniel Uriel]

"Well, when you've got it, flaunt it," he said. "I'm Daniel."

[Kara Vanderbilt]

"Which in this case are great balls of fire. Nice!"

[Miranda Weaver]

Miranda watched the fires burning for a bit and then nudged Kay, "Let's go grab some of the toasting forks and roast something."

[Kay Haddock]

Kay is still staring into the sky and flinches a little when Miranda nudges her. "Oh! Yeah, sure." she smiles at her.

[Nick Varkan]

"Ah, I see you've met Captain Burning Sensation," Nick playfully jabbed at Daniel as he walked up to him and Kara.

[Vertie Easley]

"I think they have a cream for that." Vertie added with a duffle bag full of marshmallows of various sizes and colors, an open bag of mini mallows in hand.
