hey, spider-dick, you shut your mouth or I'll find how well I can squash you. Haley glared at the spider, constricting the forcefield a bit to show she meant business.

It wiggled a bit but didn't show any signs of being in pain.

"Squashing him doesn't work..." She says in a soft voice, now holding her knees close to her and looking like a complete mess.

"You didn't mention your tattoo had an attitude problem," she said, glaring at the thing.

Haley cleared her mind and focused solely on the spider, trying to make direct contact with only it. Why are you being such a dick?

"No, don't," she said, rushing over to her side and sitting next to her, flashing a sympathetic expression to Paul who seemed to still be in a lot of pain. "It's just a weird power thing. It happens all the time here."

Paul finally seemed to find his voice, letting a long breath out in a groaning sigh. "Owwwwwwwww..."

It doesn't look like Haley's words are helping much. In fact, no one's words would probably help in this embarrassing situation. Once Haley gets there beside her, she breaks down crying.

At this point she covers her ears, not that it would help.

"...Why?" Paul managed, trying to get himself composed into something resembling 'normal' again.

"Oh come here sweetie," she cooed, hugging El and offering her shoulder to cry on.

Elise cried in Haley's arms. It was more like a whimpering cry than a wailing breakdown.

The voice was loud and clear in her mind. Obviously covering her ears didn't help and the more she cried the louder it got.

Paul grunted in discomfort, looking around half-thinking as he tried to do what the voice in his head told him to. "Hey," he said, trying to force his voice to be normal, "it's no big deal, relax." He looked around and spotted the napkins that had come with the pizza and snagged one, offering it to Elise, who probably couldn't notice yet.

"Don't you listen to that voice in your...damnit I shouldn't be snooping I'm sorry," she said squeezing her BFF tighter.

Elise wiped a bit at her eyes and noticed the napkin Paul held out. She accepted it with a sniffle before moving out of Haley's arms and standing.

"I'm sorry Paul. I didn't mean to. I'm...I'm just gonna go. I have to do...a thing. Unpack. Yeah."

She hurried quickly out of the room before anyone could stop her. Frankie stayed behind for a few moments, staring at Haley.

I don't know who you think you are, but *I* am the boss with her. You want her to listen to you, you're going to have to go through me.

Paul flopped back on the couch. "What the hell, it's not like she got headbutted in the junk," he muttered.

Haley growled in frustration and almost everything nearby started to rattle where it sat. She rose angrily and stormed off towards the exit to the outside, slamming open the door with her TK, shearing off two of its hinges on the process.
