Haley walked in, now seeing yet another odd sight in the common room. She was tempted to start just staying in her room....except then her history professor...friend?....former husband in a past life? Would just find her there too.

"Because someone thought it'd be funny to throw them on the floor," Molly says with a heavy sigh. She carefully keeps the small pile of seeds in one hand.

Haley had about four bobby pins in her hair and pulled them out quickly.

"So if I throw these near you, you'd have to count them?"

"No. They have to be seeds. Or grains of rice," Molly says. "And I don't know why. It's, like, an instinct or something. Like how I can't go into places unless someone invites me in or how I don't like certain symbols."

"Pretty much." Molly pours the seeds into the trash. If she was bothered by the comment about eating her classmates, it didn't show. "How are you doing?"

Haley counted the ways her life had gone to shit in the past several weeks and decided it was far easier to lie.

"Same shit different day. A bunch of us got kidnapped when we all went to that club everyone was talking about. That kinda sucked."

"A few, I guess." Molly says. She sits down on one of the couches. "I'm, like, stronger and faster. And I don't die easy. Plus, there's other stuff that the teachers say I'll be able to do someday. Hypnotize people. Shapeshift. All sorts of stuff. Right now, I don't have a ton of control though."

"But the best thing? It's how you feel. I feel like a predator." Molly looks up at Haley quickly. "Don't take that the wrong way! I mean, yeah, duh, it's weird and terrifying that I wanna eat people, but...."

"I felt weak all my life. Now, I feel strong. Like nothing can touch me."

Molly smiles. "It's a good feeling."

"...honestly, I kinda get that. I've always been tiny, and once I realized that I had these powers it was kinda like... exhilarating knowing what I could do? Like. I made a car go flying like I was kicking a field goal with my brain. I can basically fly. It's like...really cool."

"I mean, god, sometimes when I've lost it, just hunting is what feels the best. That feeling of stalking something that you know is weaker than you."

"I'm never full." Molly nervously braids her hair. "I don't know if it's normal or not, but the hunger, it's always there. No matter how much I eat. I think if I really let go, I wouldn't stop eating until someone killed me."

awkward...I guess...okay, change of subject she thought to herself quietly.

Haley sat down in a chair started digging around in her purse and finally pulled out a small mirror, floating it in the air with her TK, and putting her bobby pins back into place with her hands.

"Is the no reflection thing true?" she asked, holding several pins in her teeth while she worked.
