Sept 2nd - Dining Hall

Jennifer is sitting in the cafeteria over lunch break at one of the corner tables, just kind of staring into the room in general, her food in front of her mostly going ignored.

Vivienne entered and took a seat at Jennifer's table, being sure to place a few chairs between herself and the other girl, just in case the other was not truly desiring company. She carefully draped her long sword across the back of her chair and began to unwrap a small loaf of bread and a chunk of cheese as she too watched the room.

"You like to people-watch too?" she asks, having either missed the sword or not considering it strange in the slightest that someone would carry around a sword.

Vivienne wrinkled her nose at the mention if the Redcaps, but then her expression melted and she smiled. "Yes, exactly. I am fey or at least half-fey."

"I do not know what a "gun" is, but I assume it is a weapon. If such a thing is used in such ways against the innocent, then it does make sense now why people seem prone to assume the worst of me."

Graham walked by carrying his tray of food and stopped as he noticed the sword. Threat evaluations ran through his head as he looked over Vivienne. It probably didn't look like that's why he was staring.

Vivienne carefully pull the hilt, revealing six inches of steel then she placed her free hand on the metal. "Ah, you are very sensitive if you can feel it. It is a tool as much as a weapon, it is the magic that it holds and channels for me that you have felt. My mother said that sometimes some can hear it sing."

Paul fell out of a portal at the entrance of the cafeteria. His eyes tracked around the room a moment. There we go. He threw a portal out, stepping over to the lunch line to grab a sandwich, then threw another one as he stepped over to pull out another chair at the table. Three steps. Doing good this time. "Hi!" he said brightly, finally looking around to see who he was sitting with. Oh, it's the gloomy chick.

At the sudden appearance of Paul, Vivienne stands, knocking over her chair and pulls Caledfwlch fully, pointing at Paul's throat. "Daliwch yn enw'r dduwies triphlyg!" Vivienne demanded in Welsh as she quickly takes stock of the room for other threats and spots Graham staring and divides her glare between both males now.

Graham sprung to Paul's aid, dumping his metal tray and using it to hit away the blade. Damn he was fast.

The tray split in two against the blade as Vivienne struck it and moved quickly, placing herself between the boys and Jennifer. "Stand and declare yourselves." The sword angled downward.

"...Helltân..." Vivienne suddenly looked slightly ill. "Please, forgive me. I am so sorry. Your...roommate startled me as I was showing Jennifer Caledfwlch. The magic calls, his sudden appearance while the metal was exposed..." She was quickly sheathing the long sword, wrapping it again and hugging it to her chest.
