Sept. 10th: Warg-le Blargle

Up until recently maintained as a museum, the childhood home of the Braddock family has been pressed into service as additional housing and classroom space for the Institute. Additionally, the increased demands have led to the main ballroom being converted into a cafeteria for both the Institute and those University students on a meal plan. Student reactions have been mixed, and reports of paranormal activity are as of yet unsubstantiated.

Sept. 10th: Warg-le Blargle

((open))

Murphy was in the library. The note she had received from her sister was...unsettling and Murphy wasn't sure how to take it. She could have just asked her sister, but the younger Murphy was nowhere to be found.

Instead she was tracking down the source of the note. She walked through the stacks, looking for a book on wolves in literature.

"Little light reading?" Brigid says quietly, from further down the aisle.

She probably isn't trying to sneak upon Murphy.

Murphy glances at Brigid.

It is impossible to tell if she is surprised or not.

"...No," Murphy says. "Weird note. Researching."

"Sounds kinda Norse. Isn't that the myth where wolves are chasing the sun and moon?"

She doesn't know much Norse mythology.

Brigid browses a bit, and pulls out a book on the Eddas.

"Here's something on it. Ragnarok. A 'wolf age' in which one of Fenris' children becomes a 'moon thief,'" she says, holding out the book to Murphy.

Murphy carefully takes the book, looking through it.

"Weirder," she says. She sounds confused.

"Well I guess it's just like Fenris and his children were monsters. Odin meanwhile is a badass so he's got two wolves that just hang with him and eat table scraps. And then the Ulfhednar kind of straddle that line between human and supernatural, because they were people who could be wolves."

"You'd think it'd be how primitive people might have seen mutants, if there weren't also, like, werewolf werewolves. But still, a sort of 'touched by the gods' thing."

Murphy closes the book. She'd look into this more once she talked with her sister.
