"You need to either start thinking that way with pack members or find a way of showing submission to those you want to lead you. You are the biggest Brigid, just by sheer existence you dominate. In a fight with anyone you will win, that's fine, but if you do not want the position that comes with winning then bow to your alpha. Act as champion for her. It's an honor for you and an insult to any challenger. You need to adapt." She said gently. "I suggest a change of seats. Alpha at the head, her chosen mate on her left. Beta and second beta, on either side of the couple. Gamma position next and so on."

"Ooh, how about we sit on top of each others shoulders like some kind of totem-pole for meals. And then the ones on the bottom can try to catch some scraps that fall down while the others shove food in their face. Maybe we can get some pretty badges made that we put on our jackets with numbers too! Wouldn't that be nice." she smiles the fakest of smiles.

Steph's fork was almost literally bent in half at this point from gripping it. Her human side was telling her this was foolish and stupid, and just hurting them--they were supposed to be a pack, family.

Her wilder side disagreed. This little pup had no business running the pack. She finally willed up the nerve to stare Brigid down, as a small voice in the back of her head told her she wasn't helping anything.
