Cafeteria - Replacement Therapy

Up until recently maintained as a museum, the childhood home of the Braddock family has been pressed into service as additional housing and classroom space for the Institute. Additionally, the increased demands have led to the main ballroom being converted into a cafeteria for both the Institute and those University students on a meal plan. Student reactions have been mixed, and reports of paranormal activity are as of yet unsubstantiated.

Cafeteria - Replacement Therapy

Theresa slid her tray onto an empty table and set her backpack down, pulling a laptop out of the backpack and setting it up on the table. She started munching on her food with one hand while her other hand worked on the laptop.

"Finally," Theresa said, glancing up. She still didn't quite meet Brigid's eyes, but her body language didn't suggest frightened puppy anymore. "Have a seat if you like."

"Been doing a lot of thinking. Some of it's helped, some of it hasn't, but you can't win them all," she smiled.

"I'm just trying to figure out how to incorporate as yet another thing I control. I managed to get a handle on my powers, I'm just applying those principles to this. I'm not claiming to have the gospel for anyone else. If you want to embrace it, go right ahead."

Brigid straightens up a bit, some of the uncertainty leaving her bearing.

"Well... good," she smiles, though she doesn't show any teeth. "One less thing to worry about."

Without breaking her smile, Theresa turns her gaze back to her laptop, leaving Brigid with the 'win'. "That doesn't mean you're off the hook for taking care of the others."

"She seems to assume that there's a pack, but I didn't confirm anything beyond Murphy since she already knew Murphy was. She claims she got mauled trying to cure the last pack, so she's not going to stick her neck out this time, but I'm not sure I'd lay money on her staying away forever. So be wary."
