Elena settled down into an empty space at the bar, rubbing the bridge of her nose as she did so. "Something strong, please."

[Cecil Langdon]

“Rough day?” Said a voice sitting a couple seats down the bar.

[Elena Rousseau]

"Rough night at work," Elena said looking over at who was talking. "I didn't expect working at a library to be that stressful."

[Cecil Langdon]

Cecil was dressed in a hoodie and jeans and was currently sipping on a beer.

“Working anywhere can do that at times I guess.”

[Elena Rousseau]

"People expect you to know the whole place like the back of your hand and then they get upset when you take more than five seconds to get them a book. I seriously thought I was would have to throw a person out tonight."

[Cecil Langdon]

“Throw someone out of a library? What did they do?”

[Elena Rousseau]

"Started berating me, quite loudly I might add, about how I didn't know what I was doing and they should fire me and hire someone who knew what they were doing. I made allowances though since she had a paper due tomorrow."

[Cecil Langdon]

"I probably would have kicked her out, but that is why I never have taken a position where I had to deal with customers much."

[Elena Rousseau]

"I probably should have, but I didn't want to deal with the aftermath."

[Cecil Langdon]

"See, that is exactly why I never I never took those jobs. Until you mentioned it, I didn't think about that at all. All I could think of while that was happening would be how mad I was at the tosser."

[Elena Rousseau]

"Probably reflex from working the counter at my parents' bakery i guess. When a customer wants their bread for dinner, you do your best to get it for him."

[Cecil Langdon]

“I guess if your parents own the place then that's different from just working somewhere for next to nothing.”

[Elena Rousseau]

"Yeah, it's working somewhere for nothing," she smirked, sipping at whatever the bartender had served her without looking at it.

[Cecil Langdon]

"Touché." Cecil chuckled.

[Elena Rousseau]

She raised her glass, "To doing bad times at work, may they not come often even though we know that's just wishful thinking."

[Cecil Langdon]

“I'll drink to that.” he said, raising up his glass as well.
