Sirens Blared

Though many students might prefer going to London, Maldon provides closer amenities for those without a car or unwilling to pay for a cab. Several pubs are available, though the Rose and Crown is notable for having been where Excalibur spent a good deal of their downtime. Also of note is the Plume Library, home to many rare books.

Downtown in Maldon, the fire engines were out in force, as a fire engulfed the old Cobweb building.

Across the street, behind the crowd, three girls stood and watched, faces inscrutable.

Nailah is circling above, not wanting to get in the way of the firemen. Spotting the three girls though she changes her mind and lands a little ways down the road and walks up to them.

Seeing her coming, they casually, but definitely, head back towards an alleyway.

Nailah makes her way over to where they disappeared around the corner, not particularly rushing but she is trying to catch up.

For the first time in all of this, she would get a foreboding feeling -- just her precognition acting up? Or was it something a bit...more...occult?

At this point she wasn't even sure if she cared about the validity of their claims. Especially if they'd caused the fire. Either way she wants some answers and heads into the alley.

"By the Vapors of Great Valtorr, which do all things conceal...
By the prowess of my Goddess, now let the clouds conceal...
"

A great smoky cloud began to form in the alleyway-- an unnatural, unearthly fog.

"What exactly do you think you're doing?" Nailah calls out, wading into the fog.

But there was no response -- no one was there. Had there been anyone really there to begin with?

...Yes. Yes there had. But that's less mysterious and spooky.

"Damnit. Just... damnit." she mumbles to herself, the best way to find them taking shape in front of her.
