"Look, things are out of synch. That means the potential time-lines have diverged enough to make it impossible to compensate for, something you cna usually do cause things are a bit... wobbly. Cause if it wasn't displacing the air upon arrival in the past would lock you out of ever travelling back, right? But there's limits to that and something has gone differently than it should have."
