Sept. 8th: Wicked Wolf Blend

Murphy sat down at a table with Theresa, holding a small coffee. She didn't drink coffee and wasn't sure if she'd like it, but she wasn't going to complain. Besides, it smells good.

"What's it like?" Murphy asks. "With the nature thing?"

"It's..." Theresa blew thoughtfully on the surface of her coffee. "... like touching something bigger than myself. If I think about it hard, I can feel when something's not right with the environment... like the tires. I didn't know what exactly was wrong, just that there was something making things sick there."

"I can occasionally tell when something disrupts the natural order... like when the fey princess showed up at Orientation. I could sense the disruption her arrival created. That's a really new thing though."

"I can see how they might," she said. "I can make myself go longer without rest or food when I'm in skin contact with the ground too, but it sort of just delays the inevitable."

"People...shifters..." Murphy look thoughtful. "Two people sometimes."

"Wolf. Girl," Murphy shrugs. "I'm both. Was always both. Just....waiting."

Murphy keeps staring at the ground as she explains. Despite her best efforts to prevent it, she blushes faintly.

Theresa processes that for a long moment, sipping at her coffee thoughtfully. "Doesn't matter. There's no sense in you being lonely when things are rough."

She takes a sip of coffee and keeps her eyes off of Theresa. She didn't want to stare.
