Sept 18th - The Dragon With The Flagon

Though many students might prefer going to London, Maldon provides closer amenities for those without a car or unwilling to pay for a cab. Several pubs are available, though the Rose and Crown is notable for having been where Excalibur spent a good deal of their downtime. Also of note is the Plume Library, home to many rare books.

Trev looked nervous.

"So...I uh...was just kinda wondering...you know...if..."

just say it--you want her to be your girlfriend. It's not hard!

"...you...had fun at your first D&D game."

"You did awesome!" he smiled.

Unlike you, chickenshit.

"Way better than most do their first time around."

Trev looked nervous still, like he still had a lot on his mind and he was shitty at covering it up.

She tilted her head as she regarded him, "You've still got something on your mind. Spill."

Should I kiss him?

I don't see why not.

Gemma leaned over, grabbed the front of Trev's shirt, and pulled him into a kiss.

Trev flailed for a moment, almost knocking over his drink as he got pulled across the table, but steadied himself and melted into the kiss, letting his lips linger on hers for as long as she cared to let them.

Once they were done, he sat back down (accompanied by a few drunken, well-meaning cat calls from across the bar) still red but smiling like an idiot.

"Um. Yes. That's what I was trying to ask."

"Well...okay," he smiled. "You're right. I...well I just stress out about things sometimes. Especially women who can kick my ass or light me on fire, and especially when they are reminding me not to screw everything up with a girl I'm absolutely crazy about."

Trev realized he was rambling again and shut himself up with a long drink of his cider.

"Sorry."

A smirking waitress who apparently overheard much of his rant shook her head at Trev as she sat down a huge platter of appetizers--wings, several dips and crisps, chips, potato skins, and some sort of mini tacos.

"Since coming to school at Xaviers, I've been kidnapped, brainwashed, I've met aliens, found out magic is real, and I spent nearly a week with my mind put into someone else's body."

Trev smirked. "I tried escaping for a little while to the real world, but people were assholes to me, and I missed the shenanigans."

"Plus being in the real world sort of meant giving up on doing anything to really grow or develop my powers. And the thought of being able to fly is kinda cool. Which I have to keep reminding myself as I repeatedly fall flat on my face from varying heights in the danger room."

"I hope so, or my stomach and chest are going to be permanently bruised," he smirked.

"I sort of want to be on the Teams. I'm just so out of shape, and my powers are so useless right now." Trev pondered aloud.

"Hard to really let loose with that and not deafen my teammates. Maybe it's another thing I just need to work on...find a workaround for," he shrugged, munching on a potato skin.

"It is nice though. Feels like I'm never unarmed if stuff does start to go down. Know that from experience getting jumped at my last school."

"Different sorts of ongoing damage--I could totally deafen someone," he countered, breaking into a smile, "You're a dragon. Way cooler power"

Some time later, when much of the food was picked through and another round of drinks or two had been consumed, Trev caught himself staring across the table dreamily. "You want to go for a walk?"

Trev paid their tab and left a few extra bucks for tip and then led them outside, holding the door for Gemma and reaching to take her hand once they were outside in the chilly--but not unpleasantly so--night. "Anywhere in particular you want to wander towards?"

"I've got a perfect spot then," he smiled leading her down the street and eventually strolling into a large park away from the brighter lights. "Moon's basically full--really pretty tonight," he remarked, pointing upwards vaguely with his free hand, the other one still holding hers.

There was a moment of silence (felt a lot longer to Trev) before Trev embraced Gemma and planted a soft kiss on her lips, letting it linger as long as she'd let it.

"...hell yes. That would be awesome," he smiled giving her another kiss and letting her go.

What happens to her clothes if she turns into a dragon?

...not gonna bring it up.

"Assuming you need a little space..." he said taking a few steps backward.

There wasn't a whole lot to see anyways, finally the dragon lumbered around and into view. "They're folded up back there, if you'd grab them for me, please."

"Sure," he smiled, walking back behind the bushes and carefully grabbing the folded clothes and tucking them under his arm.

"So...what's the best way to do this?" he asked looking up at her. "Never had a chance to fly with a dragon before," he smiled.
