Issue 1 Downtime

"Absolutely nothing wrong with that," she said, looking over the instruments again. "So, have I passed the 'turn green' test?"

"Not quite yet. You are strapped in still, right?"

"If I say 'yes', you're going to do something crazy, right?"

"I wouldn't say crazy, now. Just... interesting."

"Either way... yes, I'm still strapped in."

"Good," she said, before unceremoniously throwing the jet into a tight barrel roll.

The sudden maneuver does startle Theresa, but she recovers and breathes deeply, watching the world outside roll over. "Okay, so being the physics teacher with the ability to tell gravity to screw off would be nice right about now."

"That's cheating, though. This is telling gravity to screw in a more fun way."

She levels the plane off, and then starts to climb into a loop-the-loop.

Theresa found that happy place and watched the world come back into view upside down. She looked unsettled but not intestinally so. "Yeah, this could take some getting used to, but I'd like to get used to it."

"Most people aren't used to the G fluctuations at first. A lot of that is the speed, even in a pressurized cockpit like this. It grows on you, though."

"I've done some 'unassisted flying', so I've made a few hard turns, but not at this speed."

"Which is why it's better than flapping your whatsits," she smirks.

"To get speed like this I'd have to screw up the weather for a week."

"Or file a flight plan with the local authorities. Bit easier."

"When I get cleared to fly these things, yeah, that would be a bit easier. Something to works towards, yeah?"

"I like to think it's an incentive, showing you what they can do. Want to see more, or shall we head back in?"

"I'm up for whatever, but I'm going to be taking up more of your time later, so I can totally get behind not wearing out my welcome right now."

"Can't have the other professors saying I kept you away from your studies for too long," she smirks, and pulls the plane into another loop that she starts to roll with near the end. Essentially an aerial u-turn, albeit vertical and ending with the plane level again as they head back in towards the point.

"So much homework," Theresa said with a smirk of her own.
