"Have we considered giving them what they want?" Emily asks. "The bank is insured. They most likely do not want to hurt anyone but are desperate to escape safely. It seems as if giving them the money and letting them go freely would be the best option for avoiding violence, ma'am."

"A great idea! So someone should be the negotiator. And the other should prepare just in case they're actually maniacal. Better to be safe than sorry, right? We also need to figure out how to give them exactly what they want. Like...if they ask for a helicopter to escape and the police aren't willing to give that. All that stuff."

"That would be difficult, ma'am," Emily says. "We may need money."

"Have we considered robbing a bank to finance our activities?"

Mizuki laughs at that. Apparently she thinks Emily is not being serious.

"The robbery is actively in progress." the computer helpfully reminds them.

"Well, okay. I can see what exactly they're after, first. Maybe just the money and all that. Try a little negotiating. How good are you at infiltration? Do you think you'd be able to get in there without them knowing?" she asked as she began to walk... Then stopped, realizing she didn't even know where that bank was. That could be a problem. Off-handedly, she looked for a 'citizen' to ask the direction.

The simulated citizen is quick to point the way for them and after rounding a corner down the block it's hard to miss the bank. The front doors are covered in thick sheets of ice, faintly steaming in the midday sun.

"...oh. Well this makes things a bit more interesting. I'm going to take this as a 'we don't want to negotiate' gesture," she remarked, looking around the area. Her main concern was if there was anyone outside guarding, if so what they looked like, and the general structure of the building. She was sure it'd likely have a back entrance, but she guessed it'd be iced as well unless someone was back there loading things up.

It doesn't look like there's anybody outside and the alley at the side of the building is empty, at least. There might be something going on in the back but they can't tell from here. Two police cars come rushing down the street now, sirens blaring.

"That would be perfect. I'll get the police to hold the front and then I'll go check around back. I doubt they'll be able to hold the front too long, considering, well, you know..." she said, motioning to the ice. "But I'm going to assume whomever is inside doesn't know we're here and just thinks it's the cops."

"A good assumption," Emily says. "If we can't see them, they can't see us, correct?"

Mizuki couldn't tell if she was being sarcastic or not. Regardless, she gave a big smile. "Be careful! See you soon." With that, she trotted over to the police officers to try to get a feel for what they knew about the situation.

Apparently the scenario was designed to recognize Mizuki as a superhero, judging by the reaciton of the two police officers standing next to their car that had come to a screeching halt across the street from the bank.

"Ma'am." one of them nods at her, looking relieved. "Thank god you're here. This looks like it's a little out of our league. Someone tripped the silent alarm just before the cameras went dark. There's at least two dozen people in there, possibly more."

"Do you have any more information? Anything else to go on? Possible number of suspects or anything? Or are we flying blind?" she asked calmly, taking a look at the ice.

She gave a nod. "Alright, thanks for that info. Just keep an eye on the front here. If anything comes out, don't put yourselves in danger. Just try to keep yourselves and others safe."

After relaying that to them, she trotted back over to Emily. "Keep an eye out for at least two. But prepare for more, just in case. Be careful, okay? Dunno what their powers are." With that, she very carefully snuck to the side of the building, then peeked around carefully towards the back to see if anything was there.

Nothing's in the back, not even a get-away vehicle. The emergency exit looks like it's been forced open but has also been encased in ice.
