Despite all that had happened on the shoreline since she had arrived in Maldon, Veronica still couldn't stay completely away. The shore had a special place in her heart, and she couldn't drop the habit completely of relaxing out there. Sure the sea shells held some particularly terrifying memories, but she hadn't planned on using her power on them anymore. Right now, she was just enjoying the sounds of the water licking against the rocks, and general peace. She was sitting down close to the water, (but not close enough to get wet), her arms wrapped around her drawn-in knees, looking out at the waves in the water.
