John walked out of the Point facilities carrying his magical large blunt instrument of doom slung over his shoulder. Stopping to admire Caledfwlch, he idly wondered what would happen if the sword and his tetsubo were pitted against each other.

"Admiring someone else's weapon?" Melissa asked as she approached walking along the cliff.

"It's hard not to admire Excalibur. There's a purity and grace about it that my Onihasaiki lacks."

Melissa regarded the club for a bit. "It has a certain solidity and force to it though. And it's not necessarily a fair comparison to begin with."

"No. It isn't. Excalibur is a timeless legend crafted by a goddess... Onihasaiki is legendless, crafted by a demon from the Japanese underworld and only later re-purposed for good. I sometimes think I can feel the slumbering malevolence inside."

"That sounds like it has a legend of sorts. Maybe not as widely known as Excalibur's, but a legend all the same."

"Perhaps, if only known to a few. Though it's very much still in progress."

"And as a bonus, that one is yours, while there's a rumor that this one is sort of in dispute."

"I know. Professor Sackville is the one who taught how to use mine properly. He isn't exactly talkative, but believe me it came up."

"So in that respect, yours is superior to Excalibur," she said with a smile.

"There's probably some sort of supernatural court somewhere," she chuckled.

"So... what is it you're up to? Exercise or seeing the wonders of the dreary English coast?"

"Honestly, no. If things continue to go well, maybe I could see myself managing the restaurant Gar wants to start one of these days, but I'm not quite willing to go all in on that yet."

"It's definitely quite a hurdle to get over. Didn't get exposed to a ton of magic in Miami, but I did have to deal with some guy who thought zombies made great minions. Thankfully, he wasn't all the powerful."

"I agree, but when you've got a little bit of power and villainous intent, you do what you can I guess," she said with a shrug.
