[Sara Stanton]

After her lunch was ruined by the aristocracy Sara's in the library, muttering under her breath as she looks into Tommy's stupid dueling rules.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Taking up Tourette's as a hobby?" Janice asked as Sara passed by.

[Sara Stanton]

"Oh, Janice. Sorry. It's just that blithering idiot Tommy and his daft aristocracy..."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"He's usually not too bad. What'd he do now?"

[Sara Stanton]

"He somehow got it into his head that I challenged him to some kinda duel when all I was gonna do was toss him through the danger room a bit for having a stick up his bum."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"A duel? Seriously?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Yeah. With bloody pistols and everything."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"How is that even legal?"

[Sara Stanton]

"It's not but that's not the point. Someone needs to shut his smug mouth."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"When did you get this vindictive?"

[Sara Stanton]

"I'm not. It's just that he thinks he earned his title somehow and that that makes him better. I dunno."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"So that means he needs beat up?"

[Sara Stanton]

"No that means I can't back out of this stupid thing without looking like an idiot. And then something about honor and such but you'll have to ask him about how to make that sound the most outdated."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Well you're not going to shoot at each other, right?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Well it's not to the death so there's that..."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Can't you just fire at nothing in particular and say 'oh, we had our duel'?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Duh. I don't want to actually shoot him. He seems to be taking this dead serious though."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"So what are you going to do?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Dunno. Guess that's what I'm here to find out. I don't know anything about this rubbish. All I know is that I need someone to be my 'second'."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"What, to carry the pistols or something?"

[Sara Stanton]

"And to make sure there's no cheating or something."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"And what, he's going to bring his butler or something?"

[Sara Stanton]

"I don't even know. Wouldn't surprise me." she rolls her eyes.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Are you still looking for someone?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Well I was gonna ask Will but he might go off the rails a little when I tell him that someone's planning to shoot at me..."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Yeah, I can see that going... not well. Even if you're in no danger."

[Sara Stanton]

"Yeah... Hey, maybe you could make his pistol jam or something! He wouldn't notice and I, uh, kinda don't want to get shot..."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"That kind of seems like it would defeat the purpose of me being there to make sure no one's cheating."

[Sara Stanton]

She sighs. "Yeah, you're right."

"You want me to talk to him, maybe?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Who, Tommy or Will?"

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Tommy. Will's going to be a bit out of his element on this, I think."

[Sara Stanton]

"Go ahead if you want, but I don't think he's gonna budge on this. Something about his honor and all that bollocks. Which probably actually means something in his weird little world of aristocrats."

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Yeah, but I have a feeling he doesn't want to put a bullet in you."

[Sara Stanton]

"I don't know what he wants but I'm not gonna back down and reinforce his 'fragile womenfolk' nonsense."

"Well wouldn't his dad freak out if he shot you?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Not sure. I don't really know his dad. Probably though..."
