He switched back to English. "Then we should enjoy the good time we have and prepare to do what we can during the bad times. To the good times we have and kicking the bad time's ass." He raised his glass.

He drank as well. "Not exactly what one usually drinks at these sort of places, but I didn't want to get buzzed tonight."

"Not all that unusual. I mean, you're still in the minority for certain but the thrill of a lower drinking age seems to mostly have run it's course among the students." she chuckles.

"Like the sighted world, there's good, bad, and some ugly. I'm somewhat envious of all the people still able to see the physical world. I miss seeing things like birds, flowers, the sky... and girls, definitely."

"To be honest, I think the whole ordeal ended up being harder for my parents to take than it was for me. They ended up with a blind mutant child, while I ended up blind but with telepathy. So yes, it's something of a bum deal, but I can always pitch the line that I'm looking for a woman with real inner beauty, right?" He chuckled.

"Agreed, but you have to admit you have to compensate for the lack of visual attraction in some way. And since I can see their astral presence, it'll have to do. I mean, ideally you meet someone in passing and go from there and find something wonderful, but sometimes you have to put yourself forward and do a little hunting."
