"I'll consider that when I'm not on drugs."

"That sounds completely reasonable," Derek allowed as they settled back for the movie to start. "So I'll let it go this time."

[Chloe Grant]

"Thank you." Chloe said, kissing his cheek lightly.

[Derek Scott]

Derek sighed, leaning his head against hers as they watched the movie. She was probably going to fall asleep soon, and he knew it, but that was okay. Being in the hospital sucked even when you were sleeping through most of it. It helped to be able to at least feel like you watched a movie with someone, even if you dozed through it.

And, as he predicted, halfway through the movie, Chloe passed out.

Derek finally noticed, then chuckled very quietly. He reached over and pulled her blanket up over her, scooting close so she could lay against him if she wanted, but not daring to risk hurting her by trying to slide his arm under or over her. God, she's adorable...
