Setting: The Dining Hall

The campus dining hall is a large, multi-level building with many windows, located between the North and South campus sections. While there are other food facilities on campus in the dorms or the XUB, these facilities are limited in size. Most of the students will find themselves coming to the main dining hall to eat.

The lower level of the dining hall is the cafeteria level. The food here is cheap, but not as exciting as that offered by the private vendors above. Students on financial aid get a discount on meals in the cafeteria. The cafeteria has some seating, but since it's in a basement, few students choose to eat down there.

The ground floor of the dining hall houses a number of private food vendors. Chain restaurants like Subway, McDonald's, and the like operate booths to cater to the students. The variety is impressive, most large chains and a fair number of local restaurants have a booth here. Unlike the cafeteria, financial aid students do not get a discount on food purchased from private vendors. They are able to use their student card to pay for a meal, however.

The upstairs levels of the dining hall house most of the seating. Long tables and lots of chairs fill up a big, open air eating area, while the abundance of windows keep it bright and inviting. During mealtimes, the dining hall's main seating area can get pretty loud, making it a fun and social place to get food.
