Wanda had been keeping herself busy. She hadn't known any of the lost students particularly well except maybe Val and it just seemed like it was better to stay out of everyone's way. But eventually, she felt like she should do something for Val, so she was at the bar, drinking, raising each glass to Val before going back to reading a book on Norse mythology.

"Want some company?" Trev asked as he walked up beside her in the relatively quiet bar. He had an impressive bruise covering most of his forehead, and a bandage covering part of the bruise.

"Drinking alone can lead to awkward encounters. Trust me on this one." he smirked slightly.

"I think I can manage to avoid those," she said, closing the book and setting it down and draining the last bits of her glass. "Not really doing that sort of drinking." It was obvious she was actually feeling the effects of the drink, which raised the question of just how much she'd had to drink.

She looked down into her glass. "You know at this point I'm not really sure. Which probably means I should stop."

"Two waters, Mac!" he called out to the bartender. "whats the occasion for drinking until you forget how much you drank?"

"Just felt I should drink a few for Val," she said, as though that was obvious.

"Yeah," he sighed. "Definitely wasn't expecting that so quickly after getting back onto campus."

He accepted both of their waters and pushed Wanda's towards her.

"Nor was I expecting to get my ass kicked so quickly, and be so useless in that fight."

Trev thought about opening his mouth but thought better of it.

At least he hadn't thrown up on Wanda or Tala.

Yet.

He sipped his water quietly. "Still glad you came here? School?" he asked after a long pause.

"I forgot just how real shit gets for large groups of us freaks. How much trouble we attract."

Trev pondered ordering something stronger for himself as he twirled his water glass in between his hands on the bar, but held off for now.

"It does. If I hadn't made it abundantly clear I'd worn out my welcome back at U of I, I'd almost ponder going back. I...just don't know if I'm cut out for this. Hell, I'd been thinking of joining the X-teams minor, but..."

He sighed.

"What are you going to do for the summer? I was thinking of seeing what I could do about visiting some other countries while I'm so close. I'd love to go to Germany, see if my German could prove useful."

Images of Professor Weaver flashed through his head as he finished his sentence, and he all but paled.

Trev put a few pounds on the bar and took his drink, which looked like some mixture of pop and hard liquor, with an emphasis on the booze.

"I should probably look into a job too. I'm not particularly good at heavy lifting though. Maybe I'll start my liberal arts major career path early and start working in a coffee shop."
