I9DT July, The South of France - Soak up the Sun

The last few weeks had been interesting for Marcus and Rick. After getting Maggie's things packed up, it was decided that she would stay with Noah until the fall term started at Xavier's. The four of them all rode back to Vancouver, and there was plenty of catching up between members of the family on the way. Rick got to send off the DNA test, though it was going to be a couple of months at the least before the results came back. They all stayed at Noah's place in the meantime, but it became really crowded in there with four people living in it instead of one, never mind all of Maggie's boxes that were strewn about.

So, not wanting to overstay their welcome, they hopped several planes from Western Canada to the South of France, deciding that it was high time to enjoy their Christmas present from Victoria.

The weather was perfect, the water was crystal blue, and got to sip drinks under an umbrella at the beach.

"Remind me to thank Vicki at some point when we get back."

[Marcus Kingston]

"I told you, at this point, we practically owe her a threesome," he joked but really, these gifts were too awesome..and he still couldn't peg why they deserved it.

[Rick Ferguson]

"It's all a part of her cunning plan to get a ménage à trois out of us. Sending us to France was also meant to be a hint," he said with a smirk, sipping a glass of chardonnay. It was the cheap stuff, but with this view, did that really matter?

Hell no.

[Marcus Kingston]

"See. The pieces of the puzzle are all coming together now." He grinned, pretty lost in the view himself.

[Rick Ferguson]

He turned to look at Marcus. "I think I like this view better, though."

[Marcus Kingston]

Marcus rolled his eyes and smirked at Rick. "That so huh? Not tired of it yet?"

[Rick Ferguson]

"Are you suggesting I should trade in for a change of scenery?," he smirked back.

[Marcus Kingston]

"Not one bit. Just curious...and teasing." He chuckled. "So, hopefully Maggie's gonna be ready for all the random stuff that'll happen at Xavier's. You warned her right?"

[Rick Ferguson]

"Yep. She wanted to go before now, but I convinced her to stay at home a whole longer. I mean, I wouldn't wanna live with Dad either, but...it is safer." He shrugged. "She's almost the same age that I was when I left for Xavier's. She can make her own decisions now." Though he was saying that to marking, inwardly, he was also trying to convince himself by saying the words aloud.

"Anyway, she'll be fine. Us Fergusons are fierce."

[Marcus Kingston]

"Okay. Just asking." He set his arms on the table. "I'm more than happy you made that decision."

He nodded. "There's no doubt about that. The look your father gave me....whew. A good model for being pissed off and disgruntled."

[Rick Ferguson]

"No kidding. I don't wanna think anything more about him for a long time, though." He rolled over from his lounge chair and onto Marcus's. On top of Marcus, actually.

[Marcus Kingston]

"I'm fine with that." He blinked at the male rolled on top of him. He grinned and wrapped his arms around Rick. "Yes?"

[Rick Ferguson]

"Oh, nothing. I just decided to take a closer look and make up my mind that the view really is perfect." He grinned before kissing Marcus, nice and slow.

[Marcus Kingston]

"Aw, man. Aren't you smooth?" He said, being unable to keep from chuckling. He leaned in, returning the kiss to his finance and pulling him in a little closer.

[Rick Ferguson]

"I love you."

[Marcus Kingston]

"I love you too.'

[Rick Ferguson]

He started kissing down Marcus's neck and chest. "I can think of one place I'd like be right now better than here, though," he said in between.

[Marcus Kingston]

He leaned down, kissing Rick on the forehead as he grinned. "Just where would that be?"

[Rick Ferguson]

"Our room."

[Marcus Kingston]

"Why aren't we there already then?" Marcus asked, reaching down and grabbing Rick's shirt to pull him back up, giving him another kiss.

[Rick Ferguson]

"Good question. Race you to the elevator." Rick hopped off of Marcus, grinning like a madman as he dashed back to their hotel.

[Marcus Kingston]

He jumped out of the chair and ran after Rick, quickly catching up to his despite the lead Rick had.

Rick pressed the elevator button, and the doors immediately opened.

There was a lot of making out in the elevator and, by the time they got to their room, well...it was probably a small miracle that they still had clothes on.

Not much of one, as Marcus had already removed Rick's shirt before the door closed behind them.
