The air around Nailah's hands was beginning to shimmer now as she tries to keep up though eventually she lets her arms drop as the veil bursts outwards and dissipates.

Samantha's reaction as she reconnected with the outside world was rather similar to her subconscious shifting some nights earlier. Her form rippled and flowed, her face nearly splitting for a moment. Beaked heads pushed forth from her skin, only to be reabsorbed. She gritted her teeth for a moment, eyes closed as she sorted out the sensations and got a hold of her flesh again. Feathers flowed out from her shoulders into a long black cloak trailing down her back. Her hair was longer, wilder, and there was something altogether more confident about her bearing as she finally opened her eyes again.
