She closes her eyes and turns towards the door, chanting as she reaches out to begin wiping away the symbols.

She's barely touched one of them as something big hits the floor behind them, a big chunk of gore inside a blood-soaked security uniform pushing itself up what might have been legs once.

"I don't know who you are, or... were... but you haven't really thought this through," she said, gritting her teeth as she felt about for the thing's mind.

There are... remnants and what there is feels deeply disturbing, but mostly the thing's mind is currently coating the ceiling.

"Well then... best to put you out of your misery."

She lashed out with the flock, trying to scatter what was left of its mind utterly.

There's no resistance. This mind was in shambles before forces beyond it's reckoning ripped it apart and what was left of Bob Eelston dissipates.

However that doesn't stop his earthly remains from lurching forward at Sam with an outstretched arm that ends in splintered bone.

"What's... what's still driving you?"

Her fingers knitted together, her own bones distending from her skin to form a rather macabre looking scythe as she lashed out with it, aiming to sweep the thing's "legs" out from under it.

And so she does, part of the leg coming off and the thing falls to the floor. At least momentarily before it pushes itself over and stands up on it's 'arms' and proceeds to fall over towards Sam.

The scythe melts back into her arm before her flesh tears out of her sleeve, gaining mass as it barrels forward into a bony battering ram she slams into the thing.

Which slams right through the thing in a burst of blood. Though it then clamps down on Sam's arm while wildly trying to stab at her with one of it's arms. Or legs. At this point it's kind of moot to make that distinction.

"Fall, damn you... when the Morrigan says 'fall', you bloody well fall..."

She gritted her teeth, and the ram erupted in sharp spikes to strike back.

That actually to hurt the thing, though it's aimless thrashing isn't that much better. And it doesn't even seem to be the spikes that bother it...

Trying to keep her concentration, she retracted the spikes and let her arm shrink back down, which ought to make it hard to hold on to.

And it does slip off, writhing on the ground in a stomach-turning display of what a human body should not be doing. It seems to be recovering though, a strand of muscles coming loose with a snap and wrapping around Sam's leg.

"You'd deny your fate? The last gasp has passed your teeth, the fire has gone out in your brain..."

She reached down with a frightening quickness to grasp the muscle strands.

"...and a snake's last thrashes after the head is cut off are nothing new to the Battlecrow."

Something lets out a whining hiss, though it almost sounds like it wasn't the moving carcass. Then suddenly reality wrenches itself loose a couple degrees and flourescent light floods the hallway again.

"Wasn't all me..." she musters a weak smile, sees the now-lifeless remains of the security guard and struggles not to throw up.

The area around the door looks scorched, some small pieces of wall looking like something ripped chunks out, the symbols and runes mostly destroyed, though what little is still visible still sends shivers down Sam's spine.

It's quiet behind it and due to the dampeners there's nothing to be sensed behind it either. Sliding the small viewing window open reveals an absolutely devastated room that is otherwise very distressingly empty.

Nailah's hand slides down the wall, leaving faint scratch-marks on it.

"Of course not." she says, sounding almost resigned. "That would have been too bloody nice now wouldn't it."
