"It's just got me over a barrel here, love. Even Gabriel was a tough one to figure out what to do with, and he's got SHIELD vouching for him."

"Him at least I would have trusted to lead a team before. I just don't know about the others."

"Oh don't get me wrong. This doesn't absolve him of anything. But I do think there's still a chance for redemption."

"Aye, and locking them up and telling them we are Very Disappointed In Them just... doesn't feel enough."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Not exactly, no. I wish I had a more solid idea what to do with him."

[Samantha McManus]

"He's also... perhaps a special case, to me."

"After all, he took my place."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Please tell me you're not feeling guilty about that."

[Samantha McManus]

"It implies a bit of obligation I might have to put him back on the path, aye?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Not because of that anyway. Besides, if you want to be pragmatic about it then it was a good thing he was the one to be turned into War because the alternative we might not have been able to defeat."

"I just feel as if... I ought to be able to do more. That if I had done more instead of focusing on what he did to you, he wouldn't be in this situation."

"He doesn't need someone to hold his freaking hand. He needs to be given a chance to redeem himself on his own accord."

"But how do I give that to him? Where do I even put him with some of the bridges he's burned?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"How about here? Make him hold a class on morals and responsible use of your powers. Kind of a 'Don't make the same mistakes I did', though you might want to have someone keep a close eye on him to see if it actually makes him reflect on the choices he's made. I know it seems too lenient but locking him away is only going to cultivate his resentment."

"I don't know if putting him around children is really an option, love."

[Nailah Weaver]

"He'd obviously need close supervision, house-arrest, counseling..."

[Samantha McManus]

"Aye. Not holding his hand, but I'd rest a good deal easier if I evaluated him a bit more personally."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Of course."

"Otherwise, the trustees and X-Corporation are really going to start raising eyebrows at my staff transfers."

"Personally I'm more concerned what to do about his girlfriend."

"Have to wait until she's conscious, and Asters wanted first crack at her."

[Nailah Weaver]

"I suppose she does fall under his responsibilities. Her own damn fault for joining the Acolytes." she says, shaking her head.

"Now now, we're all one dysfunctional family these days."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Only means she joined them for the wrong reasons. I don't mean to bash the Acolytes here."

"Granted, she wouldn't be the first."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Well, one way or another I feel trying to lock them away is only going to make things worse. Sadly that doesn't make the alternatives good ideas. Just less damaging ones, I suppose. Though there is a chance it'll be beneficial."
