Victoria smirked. "A girl going shopping? Yes, totally strange. Unheard of."

"I've just... never really been, before."

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria cocked an eyebrow, then broke into a slow, sly smile. "Oh, this is going to be fun then. Yes... let's do it. We can star small, if this'll be your first time... just into town, go to the mall, get you dolled up." She considered it. "It might be a good idea to invite along this little mynx who's trying to move in where she's not wanted..."

"I don't know if I could keep my cool that well..."

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria smirked. "Well, it would be a good intimidation tactic to give her a better look at what she's up against and let you very... shall we say 'civilly' assert that you were the one going after him and you were going to put up a fight, but we don't need to do that." She looked the girl over again. "Yes... that ought to do the trick. Get you some cute clothes- nothing outrageous. Are you set on keeping the unnecessary glasses?"

"...how do you know I don't need these?"

[Victoria Valentine]

"Because you don't act like you need them," Victoria said. "And, forgive me, darling, but you kind of have the 'Clark Kent pretending not to be Superman' thing going on down to a T."

"Yeah, well... would you want people to know you're from the Savage Land?"

[Victoria Valentine]

"Darling, may I remind you that when you saw me you immediately thought that I was my mother, and all of the associations that entailed? I think I might know a thing or two about profiles and when to keep them low."

"...like you said, there's not a lot of people out there who know who she was."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Ohhhhhh no no no, there are a lot of people who know who she was, and many of them are rather scary, but not very many your age."

She sighed. "Look... a low profile can be good. But there's a happy medium that we can reach here."

"Sorry. I'm not... I'm not trying to be difficult, really."

[Victoria Valentine]

"The point is, you can blend in and keep a low profile, and I'm sure that you can do a good job of it. If you want a boy, though, you need him to notice you. So... how can you get him to notice you. That's what you need to be thinking about."

[Brigid Plunder]

"And I guess if I don't want to look like a psycho, this... yeah, isn't that bad an idea."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Well, no, don't look psycho, but don't avoid taking a risk here and there."

"Tell you what... get a few of your friends and we'll go into town. Get some new clothes, get away from the hassel, come back feeling better about things. Does that sound like a plan?"

"It does. I bet Theresa and Kay would be up for that."

"Mmm, perfect. Been ages since I've gotten a chance to do this," Victoria said with a smirk.
