Issue 1 Downtime

Nina giggles, "Just as well, I don't think I could keep a straight face."

"When Zeryn wants you to beg, you will know. Because you'll be begging," he chuckled, leaning his head down to kiss her forehead.

"So sayeth Zeryn!" Nina says dramatically, before bursting out in a fit of giggles.

Zeryn chuckled as well, relaxing in the water. "I will just enjoy the moment and make note of the lack of denial."

"I'm crazy, not in denial," Nina says, leaning against Zeryn and enjoying the relaxing waters.

"Mmm, honest and unbalanced. A refreshing, intriguing combination, as always."

"You sound like my psych evaluation," Nina says, smiling.

"I doubt they say it as fondly as I do," Zeryn pointed out with a smile.

"Yeah, not nearly as much affection on board the Helicarrier."

"Well, no surprise. There is a time and place for all things, after all." He ran his hand along her back, letting the water current trail it over her skin. "And this is the place for things like that," he said with a little smile.

Nina snuggled close, "Would be nice if I could get stationed somewhere close."

"Very nice," he agreed. "I don't suppose they have anywhere underwater for you, though, do they. That would be a good second choice..."

"That would be nice," Nina says, "Though if I was stationed underwater, it would probably be spying on the Atlanteans. And I think that'd be a conflict of interest."

"Well, for all they know, I'm spying on you, so it would only be fair," he joked.

"Well, maybe I'm just spying on you, spying on me," Nina says, sticking her tongue out at Zeryn.

"I never knew that spying was so enjoyable," Zeryn joked. "Now I know why our spies were always so eager to do their work."

Nina laughs, "You should have taken a hint and gone into the spy trade years ago."

"Mmm, yes, but then I'd be placed in some Pacific area or other instead of here. I believe that the results are quite better this way."

"That would be terrible," Nina agrees.
