"Well, all the power, and half the battle. Power plus oh-point-five battle and I am so not your math teacher."

"But if you're into computers, maybe we'll talk later."

"Computers? Yeah, I like computers.. I probably will."

[Kevin Sydney]

"Alright then! Be seeing ya!"

And with that, his legs flowed together into a spring. Though it could be debated whether the mansion was a tall building, with an audible TWANG he did clear it in a single bound.

[Haley Crusek]

"I...what the hell was that? And who was he talking to about GI Joe?" she asked, dumbfounded.

[Thomas Bowen]

"He's one of our teachers, I think.."

tommy then turned back, looking at his companion.

"Wait, what? GI Joe? And are you supposed to be floating?"

[Haley Crusek]

"Damnit!" she said, looking down at her feet. It took a moment, but she managed to will herself down to the ground ungracefully.

"You didn't he...oh double damnit. He was talking to himself or someone else in his brain and I eavesdropped. I hate these stupid powers..." she grumbled

[Thomas Bowen]

"Well, that's what we're here for, right? So we don't float away accidentally."

he smirked, glad to be free of her trying to tease him with intimacy.

[Haley Crusek]

"Yeah, I guess," she sighed. "Maybe I *should* stay here for the rest of the summer instead of staying at home..."

[Thomas Bowen]

"And not see your friends for the rest of the summer?" Bobby asked, not sure if she was serious.

[Haley Crusek]

"Yeah. It would suck more than anything. I was counting on this summer to really enjoy stuff," she pouted. "I dunno. I guess I can keep this shit under control for just a few months on my own..."

[Thomas Bowen]

"Yeah, if they didn't feel you'd be okay on your own for the summer, I'm sure they'd tell you.. Did you get any tests done? my dad is all about running tests for everything."

[Haley Crusek]

"What do you think he'd test for?"

[Thomas Bowen]

"Oh, lots of things.. stability, strength, control, genetic seepage, fluidity.."

tommy was quite capable of going on quite a while.

[Haley Crusek]

"Your dad sounds smart. I have no idea what any of that means," she laughed.

"Me either, to tell you the truh."

tommy laughed a little at himself.

"It's what my dad does- testing the abilities of mutants. he talks a lot about it when he is home. I thought the people here might have done something the same with you, when you got accepted."

[Haley Crusek]

"Actually they just sort of looked at me, opened their eyes real wide and said, 'oh my, yes, this really is the best place for you,'" she shrugged, "I think they had someone like me sorta give me a looksee with their powers,"

"Well, that seems good, then! at least they didn't put you in a containment sphere." he said, smiling.

"All I heard was some sort of word or something while they were talking with my parents about my powers. I was paying more attention to my phone and my headache really. Like. What my powers will be someday or something. Mega or some shit."

"yeah, psychics like you can get really powerful."

[Haley Crusek]

"Well. I guess that could be cool..." she said, a small smile spreading across her face "having a whole lotta power in such a teeny tiny package,"
