"...okay, it was the wrong two digits," she said with relief.

"I just wanted to make sure you were doing okay, before everyone had to leave. I figured it'd be bad to do that at the closing reception, since all our parents will be there."

And Theresa apparently had the grace not to say anything or maybe she just didn't notice. She led the way into the bedroom she'd been using, throwing a couple of more things into a small suitcase. "Like I said, I'll be here. My parents might be ready to disown me by the time I'm done, but I'll be here."

"Not really. It's Southern Alabama. It's probably going to be pretty dull. Might go to the beach a few times if I can convince my parents I won't electrocute anyone."
