Violet, Aisha, Haley: Settling In

Violet had actually moved her stuff in before orientation, seeing as she was going to staying over the summer and everything. Happily humming to herself, she started unpacking some of her boxes.

"Oh, goodness I'm sorry," Violet babbles, "I didn't see you. Actually, I still don't see you. Oh, that's not offensive or anything is it? I mean, I don't mean to point it out if it makes you uncomfortable. Although I assume you know I can't see you. At least I think you do. You know I can't see you right?"

Violet kind of looks all around the room, not sure which direction to look in.

"My gift? I absorb the properties of stuff I touch," Violet says, demonstrating to the empty air by tapping a mirror and having her skin turn shiny and reflective.

"It is pretty neat sometimes," Violet agrees, "But being invisible? That's awesome. That's like one of the big ones. Everyone wants to be invisible."

Haley opened the door from her room, yawning. She'd just woken up after another late night screwing around on her computer and phone, and the sound of voices woke her up--maybe she'd finally get to meet the mysterious other names on her door. Her hair was a bit of a mess and she was wearing pajama pants and an enormous t-shirt--so much for making a good first impression, she smirked at herself as she stepped out into the small common area.

"Hi," she said cheerfully, waving at Violet and completely ignoring Aisha.

"I'm Haley...and...who are you talking to?" she asked, suddenly aware that there didn't seem to be anyone else in the room.

"Oh, hello!" Violet says, standing up and giving Haley a big bear hug, "I'm Violet! It's good to meetcha! I hope you and me and Aisha are the best friends ever!"

Haley retuned the hug but stiffened slightly as she came into contact with her glassy roommate. "Oh wow. You're like. All smooth and stuff. That's really cool! Like...literally too. You're cold," she grinned.

"I'm sure we'll all have fun. Where is Aisha? In her room?" she asked, looking around, confused.

Haley practically jumped ten feet and let out a surprised squeak...and remained airborne afterwards much to her chagrin.

"Hi," she said, red faced towards Aisha's voice. "Sorry...just startled me...guess you're invisible then?"
