Summer - Fish out of Water

[Kay Haddock]

Kay isn't sure wether it was pride or just nerves that made her decline having Colin come get her but after a bit of wandering she manages to find the garage. So now she only has to worry about taking a trip to the big (giant!) city with Colin and his family. She agreed to come almost without thinking but now she's freaking out a little. Everyone's nice enough here but 'out there' still seems scary. Still, somehow she doesn't let that stop her as she wanders into the garage, looking for the Davis family.

[Nathaniel Davis]

Nate was standing next to a car in a suit, looking pretty good but also terribly uncomfortable. He flagged Kay down, "Hey. Keahi and Colin should be here in a minute."

[Kay Haddock]

She nods and smiles a bit nervously. "Thanks again for taking me."

[Nathaniel Davis]

"No problem," he said. "I think you'll enjoy the trip."

[Colin Davis]

Colin and his mother arrived, both wearing image inducers and both looking furless and human.

"Hey, Kay! What ya think?" Colin stood and did a little turn for the girl. "Really weird, huh?"

[Kay Haddock]

Needles to say it takes her a moment to even figure out who the two are.

"What... How... Colin?"

[Colin Davis]

Colin laughed and touched his wrist watch, the image wavered and tuned off, leaving Colin as Colin again.

"Image inducer, sort of like a skin tight hologram. Mom usually uses one when we hit the City, we got you one too."

[Keahi Nimar-Davis]

"It helps me to relax that I don't have to worry about that one person in the crown who might or might not have an issue with mutants or that overly curious child grabbing my tail."

She offered Kay a delicate looking ladies watch.

"There's an image already programmed for you, just put it on and touch the watch face. It's only for today."

[Kay Haddock]

Her excitement and amazement almost seems to waver a bit when she hears it's only for the day, but still! She gets to not worry about people staring at her in the city! She almost a bit too eagerly puts on the watch and turns it on, her mouth hanging open a bit as she watches her webbed hands turn into one's of a normal person.

"Wow! This is amazing!"

[Colin Davis]

"Eh, liked you better the other way." He smiled and turned his image back on.

"Got any plans on where you want to go?" He pulled out his cell phone and pulled up a GPS map and handed it to Kay. "Just pick out where it'll make it on the map."

[Kay Haddock]

Kay just kind of helplessly looks at the map of the giant city. "I... uh... Why don't you just pick something? There's so much, I don't really know what'd be good..."

[Colin Davis]

Colin thought for a moment then put in a search.

"Ok...we've got Loehmann's, Century 21, Filene’s Basement and Barney's Wearhouse...all within walking distance of where we're going to be. Apparently they're HUGE designer outlet stores. I remember Tala going on about these places."

[Kay Haddock]

"Century 21 sounds good?" she says, never having laid hands on designer-anythings.

[Nathaniel Davis]

"Okay, you can discuss where you guys are going on the way," Nate said, chuckling. "In the car."

[Kay Haddock]

Kay nods and hops into the car.
