Power: Lily is a somniatic telepath. She is capable of your regular feats of telepathy, but only when she is asleep. She suffers from a form of narcolepsy due to her abilities, sleeping for long periods of time and often falling asleep at inappropriate moments. When she is asleep, she is able to manifest a telepathic avatar in the real world that can interact with people. This avatar is tied strongly to her subconscious, making it difficult to control and erratic at times.

While she is capable of standard telepathic abilities, she seems particularly adept at using her abilities to manipulate dreamstates. Her avatar is able to enter people's dreams at will and people that have slept in close proximity to Lily have reported finding themselves in her dreamscape rather then their own.

Description: Thin, incredibly pale, and a little frail looking. Lily always looks half asleep, even when she's awake. She has mussy, long black hair that hangs around her face and very light blue eyes. She is usually wearing pajamas. When she is properly dressed, she prefers to wear shawls and wraps over jeans and a t-shirt.

She forgets to put on shoes a lot.

Background: Lily was born a bright, healthy, happy girl in middle class suburbia. She had two loving parents and a brother 11 years her senior. There were few signs in her life that she was a mutant, except maybe very active and vivid dreams that most people chalked up to an overactive imagination.

This changed when Lily was 14. Her parents were in a terrible car accident that killed them both. Guardianship of Lily was given to her older brother, Liam. Liam tried his best to care for his sister, but she quickly fell into irregular sleeping patterns. She would sleep most of the day and even when she was awake, she seemed distant and numb.

After several incidents where Lily was found sleeping in class, Child Protective Services was called. Lily was evaluated and diagnosed with narcolepsy and a handful of other sleeping disorders. Medication and other forms of sleep therapy were tried, but nothing seemed to succeed.

That's when X-Corp contacted Liam. They explained that Lily wasn't suffering from normal sleeping disorders but side effects from a unique mutation. They suggested that she be enrolled full-time at Xavier's Institute so she could learn to control her abilities.

Worried for his sister, Liam agreed and Lily was enrolled in the school.
