Feb. 24 - The last stand of Genosha?

"I'm... more worried about when I go to sleep and see a version off this where I lost even more, or that we lost entirely... or that this is the dream."

[Julia White]

"If this is a dream I really don't wanna know what your nightmares are like."

[Andre Jacquard]

"Not a good dream... but reality could be worse."

[Julia White]

"I'm gonna stick with worrying about the reality in which I'm still alive and frankly, so should you."

[Andre Jacquard]

"Oh that's easy. That's one variation I haven't seen."

[Kyra Raphael]

"She knew months ago," Daniel put in without further preamble. "Not sure how long, but at least around when she had that cow of an aunt of yours fuck my mind around when I left on that mission to Kryster."

Kyra reached out her mind towards her Grandmother, her grief giving her the strength to push past Livia's defenses with relative ease, and once she was in there, Kyra discovered that her emotions were all wrong.

Livia just stood there as Kyra looked into her mind, as Kyra saw that she was pleased to have rid herself of some inconvenient and rebellious relatives. "I did it for you, Kushiel." Livia said, and Kyra would be able to see that this, at least was the truth "I couldn't let you shame the family by throwing yourself away on that piece of mongrel garbage, or be drawn away from your family and into Lord Cassiel's" her tone made the title an insult "sphere of influence. If they had lived, they would have let the rot spread, and it would have engulfed the entire family. I did what I had to do, I did what I have always done-I protected the family, protected our position. I'd do it again."

Kyra just stood there, too shocked, too appalled, too grief stricken to react.

[Daniel Uriel]

"Look at this!" Daniel shouted, his arm sweeping at the burning city. "We would've been able to prevent this months ago if you hadn't had me ambushed! Everyone that's dead here, that's on your goddamn head!"

[Livia Raphael]

"I don't expect you to understand, Scion. Everything I did, I did for my family. Everything."

[Daniel Uriel]

"The hell you did. You did it for you," Daniel spat back at her.

[Michael Asters]

"I've heard enough," Cassiel said, walking up behind them. "The only problem I'm seeing is that the story's incomplete. There are too many gaps... such as the fact that we had no hard intelligence on what was being planned against us, but yet the actions being taken here mirrored those being put in place." He looked hard at Livia. "Are you going to freely give me the names of the other people who colaborated with the flatscans, or do I need to take them from your mind?"

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Check if she gave a helping hand the last time Genosha got overrun with Sentinels, too," Ryan muttered, cold derision in his voice.

[Livia Raphael]

Livia paused for a moment, as she looked at the various options the future held. She gave Cassiel a brief nod, like a chess master conceding defeat and recited a list of perhaps a dozen names, all of them senior members of prominent 'Old Genoshan' families.

[Michael Asters]

Cassiel nodded tersely, then called out to one of the Accolytes on hand. "I'm giving you a list in your mind. You will take as many Accolytes as you need, and you will arrest each and every one of them for the charges I'm giving you, as well. Have them taken to the secure facility, put all of them in solitary confinement, do not allow any visitors, and have the Judgement scanners report to me in four hours there." The Accolyte nodded, then turned away, hurrying to do Cassiel's bidding. Then, Cassiel turned back to Livia Raphael. "Livia Raphael, you are hereby remanded under charges of high treason. Judgement will be passed upon you and your family within the day."

[Livia Raphael]

"My family" Livia said firmly "Except for my Psyche, none of them had the stomach for this."

[Michael Asters]

"And we'll be making certain of that," Cassiel said coldly. "The word of a traitor doesn't exactly instill confidence."

[Livia Raphael]

"Then I'll see you tomorrow at 8am, Lord Cassiel." Livia said "Will I be allowed to stay in my beach house tonight? I'm only an old lady, after all."

[Michael Asters]

"You are a traitor to Genosha and have the blood of your family, countless innocents, and possibly our sovereign on your hands," Cassiel said, his voice rising. "You are afforded no privelages. Scion, get her out of my sight!"

[Daniel Uriel]

"Yes sir," Daniel said, looking hesitantly at Kyra before stepping forward to escort Livia away.

[Kyra Raphael]

"My father will take care of me until you get back, Daniel." Kyra said, the only think keeping her together was a grim determination not to cry in front of Livia.

[Daniel Uriel]

Daniel swallowed, then nodded. "All right... move it, Granny," he said, giving Livia a nudge to get her moving.

[Livia Raphael]

"Thats hardly needed, boy." Livia said, walking ahead of Daniel with as much dignity as she could muster.

[Daniel Uriel]

"Oh, shut up," Daniel growled, hefting her with his telekinesis and carrying her toward the secure facility.

[Lora Zalesky]

Lora was glad to finally get to see Genosha...

"...I just wish that it was under better circumstances," she muttered to herself. "Wait, is that-...is that who I think he is?," Lora asked Gideon, having seen Magneto lying so still.

[Gideon Rede]

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is," Gideon said sounds sad.

[Lora Zalesky]

"My God...." She clasped her hand over her mouth, shocked at the sight.

Gideon put a hand on Lora's shoulder.

"Hopefully he's just hurt," Gideon said, "I mean he can't..."

[Simon Kipling]

"Damn, and I thought London was hit hard." Simon said softly, looking over the carnage and ruin of the capital city.
