Mountain Lakes Camp - Arrival

"well, yeah." Christie said "but Bobby and I usually set up the tents."

[Colin Davis]

"It's okay," she teased, "who pays attention to their *annoying* older sister's friends." she emphasized with a playful scoff.

"More like trying not to pay attention to my annoying sister's totally hot, also totally SENIOR roommate...Oh, hey, look a red breasted blue bird. State bird and probably last one of the season."

Stephanie just laughed. "I should really know by now never to be surprised by anything that comes out of a Davis boy's mouth, I suppose."

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan, who was walking past Steph lugging his tent, fought back a snort of laughter.

"well, yeah." Christie said "but Bobby and I usually set up the tents."

"Well, I need to learn sometime.."

Tommy got to work, determined to get it set up properly.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Thanks," Alex said quietly to Brigid as he (as competently as someone who was learning as he went could) worked with her to get the tent up. "And... no, I've never been camping before," he confirmed, turning a little red around the neck.

"Well just stick close, city boy." She teased.

[Alex Carpenter]

He glanced over at her for a second, then smirked. "How close?" he teased.

"Depends on how brave you are around bears, huh?"

[Alex Carpenter]

"Hmmm..." Alex slid to the left after getting the pole he'd been working on put in so that he was brushing up against her. "How brave would I have to be for this close?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"...pretty scared," she said with a smirk and a faint blush.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Hmmm... you're not making a good case for bravery now," he joked, looking over and winking at her before he cut her some slack and went to put the tent poles on the other side up.

Bear stepped out of the van and stretched, dressed to the hippie hilt in colorful skirts and hats.

"Everyone doing well?" she asked about, smiling.

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Mmmm, I don't know," Ryan answered her as he set their tent down. "I feel like something's missing..."

[Haley Crusek]

Haley set about helping Tommy, mostly to get Christie to get the hell away. She honestly did provide more help than hindrance to Tommy in his quest to actually aseemble the tent. But she cast frequent glaring scowls in Brigid's direction.

Fucking bitch... she grumbled mentally, probably loud enough for Tommy to hear.

After she'd finished her work, Christie started looking around for fallen wood, so they could build a campfire.

"Mmmm, I don't know," Ryan answered her as he set their tent down. "I feel like something's missing..."

Bear fixed that feeling, by reaching around Ryan with a hug and a smile.

"I packed the special sleeping bag." she whispered.

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Mmm, have I mentioned that I love you?" he murmured back, turning his head and kissing her cheek.

"I love you too, flyboy. now, let's get set up and check on the others."
