John found himself wandering through the halls. Though they were mostly in a state of disrepair, he was fascinated by the technologies of the High Evolutionary.

Dead End was approaching from the other side, having finally followed the rest of the group inside Wundagore.

She was scavenging bits and pieces, tossing them into a plastic bag.

She was distracted, twisting loose wires and snapping plastic bits into place.

She was distant. And not in just the physical sense she seemed to prefer.

When John rounded the corner, he would find a small ball, decorated with painted flowers and partially open.

There were no written words, just a worn picture of Bear and Rachel and Ryan hugging and smiling at the camera at a party in the XUB.

John would remember the party well- in fact, he might be shocked to remember he had been the one to take this picture on Ryan's camera, just a few days ago from his perspective.
