Legion's brain was different in this form than normal brains, and things...were not quite where Heartbreaker expected. She did find a lovely endorphin control, though.

Legion went with the diversion---for now.

Meanwhile Atropha was prowling down one of the hallways. Literally, as she was on all fours after having taken advantage of people rushing into the sub-basement. She wasn't quite sure where she was going, but she was bound to find something interesting down there, maybe even people working on a certain inter-dimensional project of sorts.

That gave Legion SUCH a rush that he almost skidded to a stop, but instead had him fall on all fours and continue spiriting in that fashion, joints altering to match his new, streamlined shape, and he started going MUCH faster.

"What the hell is all of this racket?," the voice of Cyclone asked in Croyden's ear and...well, wherever or however Hellsmith heard things.

"Sir. We have an intruder in the lower levels. Legion's trying again."

Cyclone cursed colorfully.

"I'll be right down." He was already mostly suited up as he stood in his quarters, pulling on some boots. At the mention of the name Legion, he picked up round device, a bit smaller than the palm of his hand, with straps on the sides. He strapped it around his hand...and then noticed the dried blood underneath a couple of his fingernails. Cursing again, he drew out a velvet handkerchief from his dresser and started trying to wipe it away as he walked out the door.

In the hall, he switched channels on his comm device. "Security Teams 5, 6, 8, if you weren't warned already, this is a Code Green, head down immediately!" He then switched it once more. "Chloros, head down to the sub-basement, meet me there."

"Nnng...y...yessir. What's going on?," asked a groggy voice from the other side.

"Code Green. Get your ass down there, NOW." Cyclone approached the elevator bank on his floor. Swiping his identification on the touchscreen, it performed some sort of override of the normal controls. An image appeared, showing where the elevator cars were in each shaft. One, thankfully, was above him. Pressing a button, the door opened to the empty shaft below, as well as the door on the bottom floor the elevator went down to. Cyclone hopped down into the shaft, using his powers to guide his descent. He hovered as he reached the bottom, then moved out into the hallway. He wasn't far now.

With all the commotion going on in other parts of the basement it wasn't hard for Atropha to move through this section unnoticed. Passing by several doors she appears to know where she going, though she's mostly letting her instincts guide her through the maze that is the sub-basement.

Eventually she comes to a halt in front of another thick steel door and slips inside. Just as the door closes behind her the Code Green triggered by Cyclone locks it behind her. A couple of people in lab-coats turn around at the massive door closing.

"Who the bloody hell are you?" one of them asks.

"Atropha. I'm here to make sure the General's most valuable research is secure from Legion's intrusion into the complex, seeing how he already managed to make his way into the sub-basement before the alarm was triggered." she says, dropping the more demure attitude she usually flaunts around the people upstairs. Standing up straight, her wings partially unfolded gives her a rather impressive appearence, towering over most of the scientists in the room with a certain air of authority about her.

"Very well then..." the scientist says, quirking an eyebrow while the rest of them glance around somewhat nervously. Some of them even looking vaguely disappointed, probably not here entirely by their own choosing.

"You just go about your business while I make sure everything is in order."

Order hit him hard with his TK and then immediately fired his sonic pulse rifle at the wily intruder.

"Excellent," replied Cyclone...who then turned a corner himself and almost bumped right into Order and Legion himself.

"Well done, Order." He stooped down into one knee, smiling softly at Legion. "What a pleasure to see you, here, of all places."

Cyclone snarled at that, then pointed his hand at Legion. The device he had put on before would absorb wind energy he created from his hand and convert it into sonics. He gave Legion a little taste on top of the dose Order was giving him.

A security team rounded the corner now, only to see that they were a bit late getting down there. Still, they had their weapons (or powers, as it were) all trained on the poor, lone Legion.

"Understood. Care to tell us what you were looking for in here?"
