Renko landed quite gracefully having slowed his fall considerably. He dusted himself off and looked up at their new ceiling.

"They just had to go and split us up," Renko muttered.

There was a muffled grunt from the now-closed shaft, and then the whole tunnel shook for a moment.

Melody landed hard, but her fall was cushioned by her evil counterpart, whom she landed atop. They'd been grappling above when the floor opened up, and almost continued to as they fell.

She grunted as she got up, the fight doing little to help her many-times reinjured knee.

"Motherfucker. That hurt and it smells like hell down here...and what the he'll was that?" she whipped around, bombs forming in her hands casting a dim, flickering blue light on the tunnel walls.

Bombshell lay motionless on the floor, unconscious.

There was one more shudder before a gloved fist holding a golden scepter broke through the ceiling, followed by one of the relatively few people crazy enough to dress in the Union Jack. Captain Britain fell down into the water in a shower of crumbling concrete and masonry.

"...why hello, new friend claustrophobia," she mumbled as she caught her breath.

Renko smiled when he saw it wasn't some sort of terrifying sewer creature and then decided he might want to do something useful. He walked over to John and his gauntlets glowing.

"So anybody have any bright ideas?" Renko asked as he worked on breaking down the glue. The glue dried and cracked before dissolving into dust. John would feel a tingling sensation as Renko used his powers so close to his flesh.

Melody made a few more bombs after her last ones fizzled, their light casting a dim blue glow around the tunnel once again.

Renko twisted something on one of his gauntlet causing it to glow brightly albeit in orange.

"Best I can manage," Renko said, "Didn't really think to bring a flash light..."

"Next time, I'm bringing that D-Cell maglite with me..." she grumbled. "Doubles as a club anyway. I can keep making bombs if nothing else. Renko, that helps too."

Melody looked at the smashed remains of her radio, where she landed on it. "Anyone reach the other team?"

Renko walked over to Melody and put his other hand over the radio. The other gauntlet glowed brightly for a moment. Over the next few moments the radio's smashed innards crawled back into the case, reconnecting to their various bits. Eventually it closed back up with a snapping noise.

"Can't have anybody losing those," Renko said before testing his radio. "Stephanie do you copy? Scion? Phantasm?"
