It wasn't hard to find where the flock had perched after leaving Kelpie. Samantha had needed a moment to collect herself, and thus was collectively stationed around a derelict building.

There was almost a shiver that passed through the flock, as if an effort was being made. Then, almost reluctantly, they came together to form Samantha.
