Lost and Found

[Paladin]

A siren sounded in the safe house.

"Critical announcement: All guests please gather in the main room. All guests please gather in main room."

[Nick Varkan]

Nick hurried to the main room.

"This better be good..."

[Daniel Uriel]

"You get the urge to punch Gideon when this guy acts like a tool, too?"

[Nick Varkan]

"Every damn time."

[Bobby Bowen]

"what, what?"

Bobby strode in, curious.

[Paladin]

A screen turned on after the group had gathered revealing a map centered around a single building. In a corner there was a box with the word Paladin over it.

"I have located your teammates," Paladin announced, "They are inside of Faultline or your Sara Stanton's headquarters and there appears to be a disturbance inside, which means we have little time in which to extract your teammates."

"Unfortunately Faultline's headquarters is too well defended for me to do this alone, so I require your assistance with the extraction."

The map zoomed out showing a glowing path leading from the headquarters to the building that it had originally been zoomed in on.

"I will provide you with maps detailing the route you need to take to the rendezvous point. Time is of the essence. We must extract your teammates before they are overwhelmed by Legion."

A dossier on Legion took up the entirety of the screen.

"Legion is the primary defense of Faultline's base other than whatever other biological surprises Faultline has in store to stop or slow down trespassers. Unfortunately I do not have time to thoroughly investigate all of the defense systems, so we will be going in blind."

[Order]

"Faultline untrustworthy? Who knew?" Croyden commented dryly.

[Gideon Rede]

Gideon looked exhausted standing back against a wall. His normally solid black complexion now simply looking like veins of corruption through otherwise normal flesh.

[Daniel Uriel]

"Right. Anything else we need to know, or should we get moving?" Daniel asked.

[Paladin]

"There are sonic devices in the armory," Paladin said, "They have show some degree of effectiveness against Legion when used against individuals. You may wish to take some with you. The devices themselves are straight forward point the curved end at your target and push the activation button."

"Otherwise time is of the essence, so I would recommend moving quickly."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"Sonic devices. Guess I'll get ready for a headache that'll last for a month," Steph murmured to herself. At least she knew they'd have some extra weaponry against the incredibly hard to bring down shifters...
