Too Close For Comfort (Open)

Postby John Hino » Thu Nov 03, 2011 6:16 pm

Sometime after getting cleaned up, John could be found studying the files on the Evils. He was currently reading the file on Apophis, growing more visibly disturbed the more he read. This cold, heartless monster of a man reminded him far too much of himself.

He thought back to the first time he ever killed someone. Had he hesitated at all? Had he even felt the tiniest bit of remorse?

Did his father's death effect him as deeply as it should have?

No... no! I... I...

He got up suddenly and walked away from the monitor, on the verge of tears.

I care... I care...

He averted his eyes, even now trying to look strong.

He didn't fight it.

"He's just... way too close..." he said, faintly sniffing.

"and you are worried you will become him." She replied, continuing to hold the hug.

"Maybe you are the strong one, and he will become you."

"Thanks... Bear. Sometimes I... need to be reminded of that."

With his tears successfully averted, he turned to face her. "I'll keep that in mind," he smiled.
