The group comes up to a wall of rubble; remains of where the sewers had collapsed on their way out of the hotel. And then the foundations around them shake faintly as up above the satellite fires on the hotel.

"I hope that's distraction enough..." Sara mumbles to herself before nodding at John and Bobby and begins tearing into the wall to carve a tunnel up and hopefully into the basement of the hotel.

Renko followed the others taking some comfort in the kevlar body armor he'd "borrowed" from Paladin.

"And then fight through whatever we leave behind," Renko said quietly as he followed the others.

"You'll be fine," Steph said softly into Renko's ear as she slid alongside him quietly. "You've got backup, and you can bend time itself," she smiled and grabbed his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"I'm trying. There's a lot of rubble!" she says, trying not to think about what kind of trouble Sam's talking about. After a while though she comes up on a concrete wall. Part of the foundation of the hotel. And fearing tricks from Hellsmith she pushes through as fast as she can and stumbles through on the other side.

Renko smiled at Stephanie and returned the gesture. He looked a bit more confident as he went through the hole and into the hotel.

"We need to get there quickly then," Renko asked gauntlets beginning to glow the other would feel his powers like a tingling sensation and the movement of their surroundings seemed slowed relative to their own.

The blades did wrench to a halt upon impacting John, but began to change shape into shackles, trying to tie him to the floor.

"Your counterpart had a teleporter on his team to keep me from doing this to him. How lucky that you lot seem to have neglected that..."

Something in the ceiling was reconfiguring rapidly.
